Truro is a lovely city, approximately 15 mins away with a good variety of high street shops and a beautiful cathedral right in its centre.
Falmouth has the maritime museum and you can walk through the town to the docks. Continue on and you could do a circular walk to Pendennis Point past the castle. Here you look out across the sea and enjoy an ice cream. Walk on and continue to view through the trees, the beaches of Castle Beach and Gyllyngvase (which has a very nice beach café) or return back towards the town and take the right hand fork where the road splits and the left-hand continues along the sea front.
St Ives is a must, lots of tiny cobbled streets cafes and shops. The natural light is wonderful and the sea is the most beautiful colour.
Mevagissey is a small fishing harbour if you like to go fishing one day, or catch a small ferry boat ride and visit Fowey.
